Alpha Phi is an organization of passionate and spirited women supporting each other through lifelong friendship.

The Zeta Upsilon Chapter was founded in 1983 at Washington University in St. Louis.  For over 30 years our chapter has fostered a spirit of love and charity at the university. We are a chapter of campus leaders, innovators and dedicated students. A chapter of distinctly different women bound together by a common bond. For all of us, Alpha Phi means more than just a community of women; it is a sisterhood, a family. Alpha Phi has come to be the community we thrive in, the community that lifts us all up to great heights. Like the ivy leaf, together we form a great union, a union of sisters.
Sisterhood, Scholarship, Service, Leadership, Loyalty, Character Development.
Alpha Phi is a sisterhood of women supporting one another in lifelong achievement.

Alpha Phi is one of the oldest and largest Greek organizations. Your daughter will have a chance to voice her own ideas and opinions, as well as learn about the deep history and sisterhood bonds of Alpha Phi. Alpha Phi International Fraternity and the Zeta Upsilon chapter at Washington University in St. Louis believe there are many beneficial aspects of being a member of Alpha Phi:

Our members take academics very seriously. We support your daughter’s vision to excel and to be a leader in and out of the classroom. We hope to foster your daughter’s creativity and drive in all aspects of her collegiate experience.
At Alpha Phi, we are committed to your daughter’s membership experience. Our Founders’ vision was to create a women’s organization based on sisterhood, scholarship and service. Today, we still hold these values in all that we do.

The many members of our chapter are not only involved in Alpha Phi, but various organizations on campus. We feel it is very important to be members of the school's larger community, and strive to support your daughter's endeavors outside of the chapter. We know that our members are determined and hardworking in everything they do, while proudly wearing our letters.
This is a concept that began with our Founders, who bonded together to support each other for mutual growth. Watchcare has three components: the preservation of human dignity, risk management and the development of solid values and ethics to help our members make appropriate decisions. This offers the foundation for our members that hand in hand we will stay safe and grow to meet our highest potential.
